Ford appoints new fleet operations director for UK

Date: 13 January 2015

Ford's new fleet director Nick Themistocleus

Nick Themistocleous has been appointed as Ford of Britain's new fleet operations director.

Ford of Britain has appointed Nick Themistocleous as its new fleet operations director.

Themistocleous succeeds Phil Hollins, who had held the role since 2012 and has been promoted to heading up Ford of Europe's commercial vehicles division.

Both appointments are effective February 1, 2015.

Themistocleous was Ford's UK sales district manager before taking on the fleet operations role and has worked with Ford in the UK and in Europe since 1986.

Mark Ovenden, Ford of Britain chairman and managing director, said:  "Nick is ideally suited to this position and will be a great addition to our team.

"He will bring a fresh perspective to the role with his extensive knowledge of our Ford dealer network and background in both Ford of Britain and Ford of Europe fleet sales.

"Nick will build on the excellent foundations provided by Phil as we move into the launch of new Focus, new Mondeo and continue to benefit from our industry-leading range of commercial vehicles."

Hollins replaces Kevin Griffin (who was also Ford's UK fleet director from 2003 to 2012) as he has been promoted to the position of Ford regional sales operations director for the EU, North Africa and Central Asia. Griffin's role is responsible for sales, marketing and aftersales for all of those territories.
