The Ford B-max, C-max and S-max

Ford has detailed the pricing for its new people carrier range with prices starting at £18,195 for its new C-max and £24,545 for its S-max.

The new models go on sale this summer and will join the B-max to complete Ford's family vehicles. The B-max will also get a new Euro 6 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine.

The new C-Max is introduces Ford's SYNC 2 voice-activated connectivity system, perpendicular parking and upgraded active city stop, first seen on the new Focus.

The seven-seater Grand C-Max starts at £20,295 and includes a hands-free tailgate.

As well as SYNC 2, all-new Ford S-Max models will be equipped with front and rear parking sensors, keyless start, sports seats and DAB radio.

The Titanium trim adds privacy glass, auto lights, rain-sensing wipers and technologies including traffic sign recognition to remind the driver of the last speed sign passed, lane keeping aid, cruise control and LED running lights.

The top-of-the-range S-Max Titanium Sport gains a full body styling kit, rear spoiler and sports suspension.

The new S-max will also showcase Ford's new speed prevention technology. Known as Intelligent Speed Limiter (ISL), the device automatically adjusts the limiter to remain within changing speed limits on roads.

Over 75% of UK customers specify their S-Max in Titanium which has prompted the reasoning behind introducing a Vignale luxury version early next year. The Mondeo will be the first model for the Vignale treatment in September.
