Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is offering owners of vans aged between three and 10 years old a year's complementary roadside assistance cover in the UK.
The offer applies to any vehicle that visits a dealership for a full or interim service.
The roadside assistance package provides access to 90 dedicated Volkswagen Group trained technicians in addition to the AA's roadside team.
Volkswagen said its technicians are equipped with diagnostic equipment as well as VW parts and tools. According to the AA, 95% of repairable issues were fixed at the roadside in 2014, with it taking 42 minutes on average for the roadside assistance team to respond.
Customers using the complementary Volkswagen Roadside Assistance service benefit from all of the usual elements of the AA roadside service package including recovery to home or an appropriate repairer if their vehicle is not able to be fixed at the roadside, onward travel for up to seven passengers and European cover.
