HA consulting on variable speed limits for M4

Date: 12 January 2015   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

The Highways Agency - which is set to be renamed Highways England from April - has opened a public consultation on variable speed limits on a section of the M4.

Under the proposal by the Government agency and MP for South Holland and The Deeping, John Hayes, the motorway - which links London to the west - would introduce variable speed limits between junction three (Hayes) and junction 12 (Theale).

The HA said it wants to hear how the proposal could affect individuals and businesses based in the area. The consultation runs until 22 February and details can be found here.
