Hitachi appointed as CCS supplier for three years

Date: 16 July 2015   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions has been appointed as a supplier to the Crown Commercial fleet framework agreement for three years.

The Crown Commercial Service is a public sector organisation which acts on behalf of the Government to save the taxpayer money through procurement efficiencies.

Its procurement arrangements can be used by public sector organisations including those in the local Government, health, education, not-for-profit and devolved administration arenas, as well as the central Government.

Government departments are required to buy vehicles through the agreement, but other public sector organisations can choose whether to use the agreement or form different arrangements.

Several car makers, including Audi, BMW, Jaguar Land Rover and Hyundai were appointed as suppliers to the service in January, while Automotive Leasing and Alphabet were reappointed as a suppliers last month.

"The agreement will allow Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions to forge new relationships with a number of new customers, while building on existing partnerships across a variety of public sector organisations in central and local Government, health, education, defence and not-for-profit organisations," said Jon Lawes, managing director of Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions.
