ICFM launches series of one-day fleet awareness briefings

Date: 10 February 2015   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

The Institute of Car Fleet Management has launched a series of one-day Fleet Awareness Modules aimed at those who wish to update their knowledge of hot fleet topics.

The first of the six modules is duty of care management and will be held at the AA's headquarters in Basingstoke on 20 May.

The cost of each ICFM Fleet Awareness Module is £130 for members and £195 for non-members.

The six modules are:

  • Accident management
  • Driving down fleet costs
  • Duty of care management
  • Fuel management
  • Grey fleet management
  • Influencing driver behaviour

"The idea is that each Fleet Awareness Module will address a given topic within a day. We are offering the opportunity for individuals to hone their skills and keep up to date on best practice," said Paul Hollick, ICFM chairman.

"We also wished to accommodate trainees who did not currently have the time to commit to studying for the Introductory Certificate in Car Fleet Management but who wanted to quickly come up to speed on a given issue," said Hollick.

Those interested in attending the first module should contact adminstration@icfm.org for further details. The closing date for registrations is 17 April.
