Isuzu adds Fury model to D-max pick-up range

Date: 13 August 2015   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Isuzu has added a UK exclusive model to its D-max pick-up line-up, taking the total number of models in the range to 10.

Priced from £19,999 and called Fury, it is based on the existing Eiger double-cab model, but with a number of visual enhancements and technology upgrades.

Exterior tweaks include the car's magma red metallic paint finish, 17-inch five-spoke alloys, dark grey metallic finish to the front grille and black door and tailgate handles.

Inside, the vehicle features red stitching and a rear camera to aid parking manoeuvres.

The Fury model is powered by the firm's 163hp 2.5-litre diesel engine. It returns 38.7mpg, and has a towing capacity of 3.5-tonnes. The payload is rated at 1072kg for manual versions and 1067kg for vehicles fitted with automatic transmissions.

The Fury has been designed for those seeking an affordable pick-up with stand-out appeal," said William Brown, general manager at Isuzu UK. "It's certainly a head-turner and, alongside the Blade and rest of the D-max range, will meet the growing demand for a stylish vehicle which can be used for both work and recreation."

The Fury goes on sale in September.
