Jaguar confirms second-generation XF pricing

Date: 01 April 2015   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Jaguar has confirmed its second-generation XF will be priced from £32,300 when it goes on sale later this year.

The entry-level Prestige 163hp 2.0-litre diesel in Prestige trim level will be priced from £32,300, while the higher specification R-Sport model will cost from £34,200 and the Portfolio trim level is priced from £36,400.

Prices have increased by £2355 over the current SE model.

The same engine with 180hp is priced from £32,800 in the Prestige trim level, while the range-topping S model costs from £49,950.

The British brand is claiming class-leading weight thanks to the aluminium-intensive architecture, and the quoted figure of 80kg lighter than the car's closest rival helps it to a non-hybrid class-leading 104g/km figure that beats BMW's 109g/km for the 520d.

That emissions figure is for the 163hp 2.0-litre diesel. The range also includes a 180hp 2.0 diesel, 300hp 3.0-litre diesel and a 380hp supercharged petrol range-topper.

Jaguar said the new XF "brings an unrivalled blend of refinement, fuel economy, dynamics and design to the business car segment".

Jaguar said the current XF is the firm's biggest selling car in its current product range. Last year, it was the third most popular fleet model in the executive bracket with 7352 UK registrations. In comparison, the most popular executive fleet vehicle, the Mercedes E-class achieved 15,570 registrations.
