Land Rover recalling Range Rovers after software bug emerges

Date: 14 July 2015   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Land Rover is conducting what it is calling a "voluntary safety recall" following an issue with the door latch on 2013-16 model year Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models.

Land Rover said it has established a software issue which could lead to doors becoming unlatched with no warnings displaying on the vehicle's dashboard.

It said no accidents or injuries have been reported to have occurred as a result of the glitch.

"The modifications made to affected vehicles will be made free of charge and every effort will be made to minimise inconvenience to the customer during the short time required for the work to be carried out," Land Rover said in a statement.
