PSA to publish real-world efficiency figures

PSA Peugeot Citroen has teamed up with pressure group Transport & Environment to measure and publish real-world efficiency figures for its models.
The first stage will see the companies publish realistic fuel economy figures by spring 2016, with pollutant levels - including NOx - being published by spring 2017.
Each of PSA's cars will be tests on public roads near Paris with segments including city, countryside and highway driving.
"This innovative initiative is a clear demonstration that a carmaker and independent NGOs can reach agreement for the benefit of customer information," said Carlos Tavares, chairman of PSA Peugeot Citroen.
"This will also highlight the advanced technologies that PSA Peugeot Citroën is developing to contribute to fuel efficiency," he added.
