Date: 02 June 2015   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Seat has appointed Jason Coleman as its new fleet sales manager for the UK, replacing Phillip Allen.

Coleman is stepping up from his role as an area sales manager. His previous roles have included stints at the Sytner Group, where he managed corporate sales for a year.

Seat is hoping his promotion will drive sales forward within the medium to large fleet arena. Seat said that in 2014, the Leon achieved volume growth of 80%.

In 2014, Seat was ranked as the 18th largest fleet car maker in terms of registrations, while the Leon was ranked as the 19th most popular fleet vehicle by registrations in 2014.

Compared to 2013, the Leon's fleet registrations grew by 56%.

"We're continuing our momentum in terms of developing a strong foothold in fleet with a compelling product portfolio including some of the best performers in their class in terms of quality and cost," said Coleman.
"Supporting our ambitious fleet sales growth plans, the just announced

Ibiza and new Alhambra will join two new Leon derivatives - the ST Cupra and four-wheel drive X-perience - in our model lineup, allowing the brand to appeal to an even more diverse range of fleet customers."
