Skoda reveals UK pricing for Superb

Date: 10 March 2015   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Skoda has announced its facelifted Superb will be priced from £18,640 when it goes on sale in the UK in September.

Skoda said it will be offered with the widest range of engine, transmission and trim levels on a Superb.

The base model will be powered by a 1.4-litre 125hp engine in S trim level. The cheapest diesel-powered model is a 120hp 1.6-litre model, which is priced from £20,040.

No efficiency figures have been released yet, but Skoda claimed the new Superb's engines are 30% more efficient than the ones powering the current model.

Four trim levels are offered - S, SE, SE L Executive and Laurin and Klement. Skoda claimed each trim level has more standard equipment than comparable models in the current line-up.

S-level models come with 16-inch alloy wheels, body coloured door mirrors and handles, LED rear lights, DAB radio, and a five-inch touchscreen, while SE models adds 17-inch wheels, cornering front lights, adaptive cruise control and SmartLink.

SE L Executive adds 18-inch alloys, Bi-Xenon headlights, an electrically operated boot, leather upholstery, a sat-nav system with eight-inch touchscreen, and the top-of the range adds a 10-speaker sound system, a TV tuner and dynamic chassis control.
