Tesla opens dealership in Knutsford

Date: 07 January 2015   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Tesla has opened a new UK dealership in Knutsford, Cheshire, as part of its European growth plans. It has also announced plans to open a service centre in the region.

The American electric vehicle specialist said the new store strengthens the company's presence in the North West, as it joins the recently-opened Warrington supercharger location.

The centre features a Model S design studio, a dual motor Model S rolling chassis to display the latest technology from the company.

Tesla also said its supercharger network - which replenishes charge in 20 minutes - now allows drivers to travel from Exeter to Edinburgh, as well as one in Maidstone allowing its models to access the European network.

In total, there are 123 supercharger locations in Europe, with the company promising to rapidly extend its network.
