Telematics provider Trakm8 and the AA have developed a business-focused fleet management system.
The new tool will be offered to the motoring organisation's B2B fleet customers, and will help them to manage the cost and logistics of their fleets.
Trakm8 and the AA expect the system to appeal to large fleets and SMEs running five or more vehicles.
The system allows individual vehicle data to be tracked, including fuel consumption, driver behaviour and routes taken.
Trakm8 has been supplying its telematics systems to the AA for four years for its roadside assistance and recovery vehicles.
"We have worked with Trakm8 on our own vehicle fleet for some time and they have demonstrated great innovation and support for our business," said Kirsty Lloyd-Jukes, the AA's strategy director.
"This initiative for our fleet customers is an important part of the investment in connected car technology that we are developing."
"We are looking at a number of options that will add value to our proposition for the rest of our business customers and our personal members."
