Apple CarPlay now available on BMWs

BMW models with the Professional Media System can now be fitted with Apple CarPlay, the company has announced.
According to BMW, the preparation to enable wireless use of CarPlay costs £235 and is available on the majority of the firm's line-up.
Unlike other manufacturer integrations, BMW's connection is wireless, which the firm claims helps to increase convenience for the driver.
Compatible content and apps can be displayed and operated on the firm's iDrive media system using a controller, touch or voice control, while vehicle information can still be displayed thanks to a spilt-screen option.
