The start point for the best source of fleet information

Dash cam portal for fleet launched

Leading dash cam manufacturer has launched a dedicated portal that allows business users to buy dash cams for their fleets.

The new website allows fleets to choose from the company's range of products, while it also outlines the pros of dash cams, and offers the option to have the cameras fitted by Halfords through its WeFit service.

Nextbase's fleet page follows on from a partnership with insurance quote company constructaquote.com which offers fleets 15% off the price of their policy when they have a Nextbase camera installed.

The comparison website is aimed at SMEs and allows businesses to access a range of products, with 160,000 policies being taken out in the past 25 years.

According to Nextbase, the average cost of covering a van is around £700, meaning customers can save up to £100 on their policy.

In 2015, dash cams were the fastest-growing area of consumer electronics, according to data from retail analysts GfK.

"The vast increase in retail sales shows that consumers have been reaping the many benefits of owning a Dash Cam but in commercial situations they are even more valuable," said Richard Browning, director at Nextbase. "For a business that relies on multiple vehicles being on the road for the majority of the day, being able to prove that your employee was not at fault in an accident scenario is incredibly valuable. Not only does it reduce the claim process time significantly, it also saves you money on your insurance premium."
