Days Fleet parent sees profit hike

Date: 27 May 2016   |   Author: Tristan Young

The parent group of Days Fleet, formerly Days Contract Hire until it rebranded earlier this year, has seen its pre-tax profits rise by more than 11% to just over £10m on a turnover of almost £230m in 2015.

The parent firm CEM Day operates a franchised retail dealer group as well as the near 10,000-strong fleet operation.

In his strategic report, issued with the firm's annual accounts, chairman and chief executive Graham Day said: "Vehicle numbers have grown again during the year and this has come from both new and existing customers.

New initiatives such as 'Flexible Solutions', offered by the contract hire division in recent years, have helped continue to improve and maintain the division's customer base while providing a comprehensive solution to their customers' vehicle fleet requirements."

He continued: "Renewing and increasing the fleet is an important aspect of the business and the group continues to invest resources to identify new markets and products in order to maintain
fleet growth."
