Enterprise rebrands City Car Club car-sharing service

Date: 05 April 2016   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Enterprise has rebranded its vehicle-sharing arm, City Car Club, as Enterprise Car Club.

The move will see the car club being supported by 430 rental locations, as the company aims to become what it calls the principal mobility partner for business users and private motorists wanting to access vehicles.

Enterprise currently operates the car club in 19 cities in the UK, including in 24 of London's 32 boroughs.

Existing memberships will automatically be transferred, and access to vehicles will continue with current membership cards, while Enterprise is offering a 10% discount until 30 June to car club members on longer-term rentals.

"Some customers want to walk into a branch and be helped by one of our employees through the process, face-to-face. Others want to book a car for an hour, access it via their smartphone and just go. We want to develop a network that can support all these requirements," said Khaled Shabo, managing director of Enterprise Rent-A-Car UK. "That also means providing impeccable service and a terrific rental experience whether a customer wants a van for a week, a Maserati for a special day, or an electric vehicle for an hour."

"It was always our intention to make City Car Club part of the Enterprise family of vehicle services. By supporting our car club operations with the UK's largest branch network, we will be able to provide an even better, more responsive service for our customers," he added." Our existing car club members will continue to enjoy the same benefits as before, but there will also be further investment in new vehicles, locations and technologies to provide members with the perfect choice for every journey."
