Renault has delivered what it is claiming to be its biggest order of electric Zoe models.

The French firm has supplied 55 Zoes to Europcar for use its delivery and collection of hire cars service, which saves customers from having to visit a branch.

Europcar added that the Zoes would also support the firm's electric car sharing club, the E-Car Club.

Finished in the Expression Nav trim level, the model includes automatic climate control, the firm's infotainment system with seven-inch touchscreen, TomTom satnav and Bluetooth.

Renault claims that in real-world conditions, the Zoe's range is up to 106 miles in the summer and 71 miles in the winter.

"Our Deliver & Collect service aims to enhance the rental experience for our customers - taking the time and hassle out of collecting a vehicle at the start of the hire and having to go back to our branch at the end of the journey," said Gary Smith, managing director of Europcar UK. "And the addition of the Renault Zoes at many of our city branches, enabling our employees to get to and from our branches without expending any emissions, makes the Deliver & Collect service all the more environmentally friendly."
