EV stalwart joins Evolt

Date: 19 August 2016   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Stephen Rennie has been appointed by electric charging point provider Evolt as its business development manager for Scotland.

Rennie spent eight years with the Energy Saving Trust, which included managing the delivery of grant-funded electric charging points, while more recently he worked for Transport & Travel Research where he helped advise the mayor of London on eco projects including the viability of using biodiesel in the capital.

Evolt claims it has more than 1000 charging points installed in Scotland, including 91 rapid chargers, while the company said 24 out of 32 local authorities have its points installed.

"By building successful working relationships with the various EV stakeholders, which include Central and Local Government, Transport Scotland, businesses and consumers, we can continue to place Evolt at the forefront of the charge point market in Scotland," said Rennie.

"He has proven to be a serious influencer in the Scottish EV charge point market ever since Transport Scotland began offering grants in 2011," said Justin Meyer, general manager of Evolt. "We are confident that he can use that in-depth knowledge and passion to ensure Evolt continues to be the number one charge point supplier in Scotland."
