Facelifted Suzuki S-cross unveiled

Suzuki has revealed a facelifted version of its S-cross crossover ahead of its debut at this week's Paris motor show.
Due to go on sale from 17 October, the model is now powered by three engines - a 1.0-litre petrol, a 1.4-litre petrol (which replaces the current 1.6-litre petrol motor) and a 1.6-litre diesel.
The Japanese company is claiming the 1.6-litre diesel unit emits 106g/km of CO2 and returns 68.8mpg - improvements of 4g/km of CO2 and 1.5mpg respectively - placing it in the 21% 2016/17 BIK band, while the smaller petrol motor emits 113g/km of CO2.
Additionally, all three engines can be accompaied with the firm's four-wheel-drive system.
Visually, the facelifted S-cross is now taller (180mm ground clearance compared with 165mm), and has a more distinctive front end, while at the back, the car features new LED lights.
Three trim levels are offered - SZ4, SZ-T and SZ5. All vehicles are fitted with DAB digital radio, aircon, daytime running lights, 16-inch alloy wheels and cruise control as standard, while the ST-Z trim level adds sat-nav, 17-inch alloys, parking sensors and camera and roof bars.
According to Suzuki, the mid-spec model has been designed with fleet buyers in mind.
Top-spec models, meanwhile come with radar brake support, leather seats and a panoramic sunroof.
Bootspace is rated at 430 litres, and the range is priced from £14,999.
