Renault has revealed a sportier version of its Twingo supermini ahead of its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed later this month.

Called the GT, the new model is powered by a 110hp version of the firm's three-cylinder petrol engine, and is due to go on sale this winter.

Efficiency information has not been revealed yet, but the 90hp version of the engine emits 99g/km of CO2 and returns 65.7mpg.

Visually, the GT is identified by its 17-inch alloy wheels, twin exhaust pipes and bright orange body colour, while inside the model features orange trim details and Renault Sport-badged doorsills.

The GT will be competing against the likes of the Vauxhall Adam Slam. Fitted with a 115hp 1.0-litre petrol engine, the Adam emits 115g/km of CO2 and returns 56.5g/km of CO2.
