Toyota has revealed its long-awaited crossover rival to the Nissan Qasqhai at the Geneva motor show today.
Known as the C-HR, the vehicle has two powertrain options - a 122hp 1.8-litre hybrid petrol unit and a 115hp 1.2-litre unit.
Toyota claimed the hybrid model is capable of emitting less than 90g/km of CO2, which the firm said is a segment-best. No efficiency details have been released for the 1.2-litre unit, but it is the same engine that is found in the firm's Auris model.
In the Auris, the motor returns 58.9mpg and emits 112g/km of CO2.
The production C-HR follows on from two previous concept cars, shown at the Paris motor show in 2014 and the Frankfurt motor show last September.
Pricing and specification details have yet to be announced, and Toyota could not give an estimation for when the model would arrive in the UK.
