FleetEurope co-founder to retire

Date: 30 August 2016   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Co-founder and current customer relationship director at FleetEurope, Terence Drane, has announced he is retiring at the end of this month.

Drane co-founded the leasing company alongside current chairman and CEO, John Yarroll, in 1992.

Prior to starting FleetEurope, he held senior management positions at companies including Hertz, Raynesway Vehicle Contracts, Royscot Vehicle Contracts and Swan National Leasing.

FleetEurope currently manages a fleet of 1500 leased vehicles, while its clients has access to 400,000 rental vehicles from 1500 locations across the UK.

"I've really enjoyed working at FleetEurope during the last 24 years. Growing the business organically from an initial start-up in 1992 to one of the UK's leading vehicle management providers has been a rewarding experience," Drane said.

"Terence has been an absolute cornerstone in the growth of FleetEurope over the years, building long-standing relationships with a variety of blue chip customers," said Joe Howick, FleetEurope chief operating officer. "After a long and very successful career in the fleet industry, my colleagues and I would like to wish Terence and his wife Zoe every happiness on his retirement."

Ian Diggins, who joined the company in June, will take over from Drane once he retires.
