Glenn Sturley appointed as new VRA chairman

Date: 08 August 2016   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

The Vehicle Remarketing Association has appointed Glenn Sturley as its new chairman following the retirement of John Davis.

Davis led the group since its inception seven years ago, while Sturley was previously the deputy chairman and has been succeeded in that role by Sam Watkins.

Sturley has been in the motor industry for over 40 years, he previously held the post of vehicle remarketing director at Lex Autolease for 14 years before joining the VRA as director when the trade body was formed in 2010.

Watkins, meanwhile, is the director of sales and marketing at Bruntingthorpe Automotive Solutions and joined the VRA board in 2010.

"During his tenure as chairman, John Davies provided great leadership, plus the vision and guidance required to build our association from scratch," said Sturley. "The VRA has always punched above its weight and provides an authoritative and influential voice for this hugely important part of the automotive industry."
