The start point for the best source of fleet information |
Businesses are in the dark with implementing mobility solutions for employee travel, an Association of Car Fleet Mangers survey has revealed.
According to the poll, more than two-thirds of companies said they have not considered switching from fleet-focused total cost of ownership models to a mobility solution that encompasses fleet usage, travel - including by public transport - and expense management in a single function.
A third, meanwhile, said they were undecided on whether they should move away from running a traditional fleet, and as such, could require assistance or guidance in the future.
However, 46% of city-based businesses said they would welcome a shift to a mobility solution for corporate travel.
ACFO polled businesses of all sizes, including SMEs, mid-sector and major corporations, with fleet sizes varying from a handful to more than 1000 vehicles.
"The survey results indicate that it is clear that businesses require help and guidance if business mobility solutions are to become a reality inside employers in the near future. Fleets are part of the whole business mobility solution, but wider issues and other travel options should be considered," said ACFO chairman, John Pryor.
