The start point for the best source of fleet information

Independent NOx emissions ranking revealed

Date: 21 April 2016   |   Author: Tristan Young

Fleets looking to check the NOx emissions of vehicles they already run or are thinking of purchasing, now have a second source of information besides the official figures.

Launched today, 21 April, the EQUA Air Quality Index developed by Emissions Analytics, which sells real-world emissions data to car manufacturers, is an independent alternative measure for those fleets looking to be as eco-friendly as possible.

While most fleets and company car users focus on official CO2 and mpg figures because of their direct impact on running costs, official NOx figures are expected to become a greater focus for taxation - particularly in city low emission zones - in future.

However, these independent figures are positive news for the Volkswagen Group following dieselgate because the majority of the best performing cars in the EQUA table are from VW, Audi and Seat and Skoda.
