Masternaut adds fuel compliance feature to telematics unit

Technology company Masternaut has launched a fuel module for its Connect telematics unit with the aim of helping fleets and SMEs improve their fuel spending compliance.
According to the firm, fleets do not manage fuel expenses very efficiently, as they do not have tools to analyse data on fuel spend, while it can also be hard to manage details from more than one fuel card provider.
Masternaut said its new module can automatically match transactions from multiple fuel cards to vehicles and journeys, while managers are able to see if fuel cards are used at stations without the company vehicle present or if premium fuel is purchased.
"With the launch of our Masternaut Fuel module for Masternaut Connect, we're bringing fleet managers a complete 100% web-based solution that enables them to lower fuel costs and ensure compliance to company fuel policy," said Steve Towe, chief commercial officer and UK managing director of Masternaut. Our new module helps fleet managers to quickly identify anomalies and gives more control over fleet fuel costs."
