Date: 18 May 2016   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Matt Dyer, managing director of the UK's second-largest leasing company, Leaseplan, has been named as vice-chairman of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association.

He is due to take over as chairman next May when the current boss, Simon Oliphant, steps down.

Former vice-chairman, Peter Cakebread, who served as chairman between 2013 and 2015, will remain on the management committee, while Spencer Blake has been named as vice-chairman of the BVRLA's leasing broker committee.

Blake takes over from Paul Huxford and will become the chairman of the committee next May when current chairman, Mike Potter steps down. \

"We are looking forward to working with Matt; his experience will be invaluable as we assist our members who face an unprecedented level of change in the next few years," BVRLA chief executive Gerry Keaney said.
