Mercedes-Benz E-class All-Terrain revealed ahead of Paris debut

Mercedes has revealed a jacked-up version of its E-class Estate ahead of the model's debut at next week's Paris motor show.
Known as the E-class All-Terrain, the Audi A6 Allroad rival is due to go on sale next spring with prices and specifications set to be announced in early 2017.
From launch, the E-class Estate variant will be offered with the firm's 194hp 2.0-litre diesel unit which emits 137g/km of CO2, placing it in the 27% BIK tax bracket.
The engine will be mated to the company's nine-speed automatic transmission system.
According to Mercedes, the All-Terrain sits 29mm higher than the standard E-class Estate, while the car's air suspension allows the driver to select three different height levels.
Visually, the All-Terrain features a two-fin grille with the company's logo in the centre, while the model includes separate alloy wheel and rear bumper designs from the rest of the E-class range.
Meanwhile, inside, the raised E-class Estate trim level includes an aluminum effect trim, however exact UK specifications are yet to be confirmed.
"No E-class has ever been as versatile as the All-Terrain. The new model combines SUV style with an estate. This is coupled with lots of innovative safety features and the E-class interior," said Ola Kallenius, sales and marketing at Mercedes. "With 4Matic all-wheel drive as a standard feature and increased ground clearance thanks to the air suspension system, the All-Terrain is a flexible all-rounder."
