Mini appoints new corporate boss

Date: 07 October 2016   |   Author:

BMW-owned Mini has reacted to its increased fleet presence with the introduction of a new position: head of corporate and used cars.

Steve Roberts steps up into the role from his previous position as BMW product operations manager, and will be looking to build on the success of the new Clubman and five-door hatch models when the replacement for the Countryman arrives next year.

"This year will be a record year for Mini and for corporate, we are up 10% year on year and have an extra 1000 orders on the system versus last year," said a spokesman.

The new corporate boss added: "Since the launch of five-door hatch in September 2014 we have seen Mini's influence in the corporate sector increase exponentially, and after a successful first year of the new Mini Clubman we know there's a lot more good news to come."

Roberts will also be recruiting a new corporate development manager, with the departure of James Morrison,
who becomes Mini's London regional sales manager.
