New BMW 5-series priced from £36,025

BMW has announced its forthcoming 5-series upper medium model will be priced from £36,025 when it arrives in the UK early next year.
The entry-level model is the 520d, which is powered by a 190hp 2.0-litre diesel unit. It emits 108g/km of CO2 and returns 68.8mpg.
Also of interest to fleet customers will be the 530d, priced from £43,835, which is powered by a 265hp 3.0-litre diesel unit. It emits 124g/km of CO2 and returns 60.1mpg.
Two petrol models - the £40,132 530i and £46,645 540i xDrive - complete the 5-series line-up from launch.
A 530e plug-in hybrid - with emissions of 46g/km of CO2 - is due in the UK a few weeks after the vehicle's launch on 11 February 2017, while an estate model will follow in the third quarter of 2017, with a replacement for the GT in 2018.
