Leasing company Lex Autolease has renewned its contract hire agreement with IT infrastructure company Computacenter which is expected to save the firm £2.5m over five years.

Over the course of the contract, Lex will supply 1100 cars and commercial vehicles as well as a benefits package for Computacenter's 4000 staff members.

Lex has supplied vehicles to the IT company for more than a decade.

"The length of our working relationship with the team at Lex Autolease is testament to their understanding of how we operate as a business, and the reliable service and efficient scheme architecture that they provide," said Keith Cook, deputy financial controller at Computacenter. "Keeping our teams on the road is essential in providing the services our clients have come to expect, and through the savings made we've been able to re-invest back in to the business to drive future growth opportunities."

"We are delighted to be extending our relationship with Computacenter and the ongoing partnership with the UK and European market leader is a source of pride. The cost-efficient funding scheme, together with our fleet management and driver services, allows us to deliver exceptional value while keeping Computacenter vehicles on the road," said Dave Le Feuvre, corporate relationship manager at Lex Autolease.
