New group fleet boss for VW

Date: 15 January 2016   |   Author:

Volkswagen has a new head of group fleet services with the appointment of Patrick McGillycuddy to the role vacated by Steve Catlin's move to head of sales at Seat.

McGillycuddy moves up from the head of fleet role he has held at Skoda for the last two-and-a-half years, and his replacement should be announced in the next few weeks.

The chain reaction of job moves within VW Group began when Andrew Cullis left his Skoda marketing boss role to join Toyota, and his position was taken by Ashley Andrew, whose move from Seat created the vacancy that Catlin moved into after seven months in the group fleet position.

That in turn facilitated McGillycuddy's promotion to the job that oversees the fleet functions of all five VW Group brands, and looks for opportunities where they can work better together, mainly around back-end systems and processes.

The group fleet role was originally forged by long-serving VW fleet boss Vince Kinner before his retirement last year.
