No grant for plug-in Audi Q7

Date: 21 March 2016

Audi's long-awaited plug-in hybrid Q7 will arrive in the UK in late July, with the order bank opening in May.

Although the company hasn't yet confirmed prices, the car will exceed the £60,000 limit for Government ultra-low emission vehicle grants, so won't be eligible for the £2500 grant.

Audi expects around 13% of its Q7 mix to be the plug-in model, which combines a 258hp diesel engine with an electric motor for an official 156.9mpg figure and sub-50g/km emissions.
