Nominations open for 2016 ACFO awards

The Association of Car Fleet Operators has opened up nominations for its 2016 awards.

Nominations are open until early September, and members will be able to able put forward as many entrants as they like.

The winners will be revealed at the fleet body's annual dinner which takes place at St Johns Hotel in Solihull on 16 November.

The award categories are:

Environmental Initiative

Fleet Service Company

Fleet Safety Initiative

Small Van

Large Van

Green Vehicle

Fleet Car

Jaguar's XE was crowned as ACFO's Fleet Car of the Year, while BMW and Ford each took home two awards, while the DVLA scooped the Fleet Service Company of the Year award.

"Fleet decision-makers are reliant on motor manufacturers to deliver vehicles that are cost effective to operate, safe, reliable and environmentally-friendly and suppliers and other organisations to provide a first class services," said John Pryor, ACFO chairman at last year's awards event.

"Operating successfully in partnership it means that through the availability of top quality vehicles and first rate suppliers, vehicle downtime can be kept to an absolute minimum and fleet managers can focus on the efficient and effective operation of their vehicles to support their businesses," he added.
