Pod Point partners with Volvo

Date: 03 March 2016   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Electric vehicle charging point provider Pod Point has announced it is the Volvo's preferred charging station supplier.

From now on, customers buying a plug-in Volvo will be able to buy a domestic Pod Point charging station, which can typically be installed within 10 working days of an order being placed.

The charging point company has also partnered with eco company Carbon Footprint to offset 5000 miles of electricity for each homecharger.

"We take pride in training and educating plug-in vehicle owners on getting the most out of their electric vehicles," said Erik Fairbain, CEO and founder of Pod Point. "There is a wave of momentum in the EV industry now with many manufacturers producing PHEVs, and with more than 47,000 plug-in vehicles on the road in the UK already, we are starting to see plug-in cars become the de facto way to drive."
