Prestige Fleet Servicing to grow network by a third in 2017

Date: 16 December 2016   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Fleet-focused SMR company Prestige Fleet Servicing has announced it intends to expand the number of fleet service centres it operates by a third in the first quarter of 2017.

At present, the East Midlands-based operation has a network of 315 outlets, and is set to recruit a further 100 centres in order to meet increased demand from fleets.

According to Prestige, its network of service centres looks after more than a million vehicles on behalf of a number of clients.

The company said that new service centres joining the network will receive a number of benefits including guaranteed fleet servicing business, and access to the company's 'added-value programme', which offers discounted oil and insurance deals.

Joe Bhamra, commercial director at Prestige Fleet Servicing, claimed his network can offer fleets up to 40% off the cost of SMR work compared with franchised dealers, while customers have access to a web-based fleet management tool, Unity, which allows them to book and monitor the progress of SMR work.

"Unity provides a downtime management module, which ensures that vehicle downtime is kept to a minimum, an especially vital benefit for LCV fleet operators and their drivers. Unity also provides embedded tyre tread depth and vehicle damage reporting for fleets to flag up any areas that require additional attention," he said.
