Pricing revealed for Infiniti Q60 coupe

Date: 05 September 2016   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Infiniti has confirmed its Q60 coupe will cost from £33,990 when it goes on sale in October.

A rival to the likes of the Audi A5 and BMW 4-series, the Q60 is powered by a choice of two petrol engines from launch - a 208hp 2.0-litre which emits 154g/km of CO2 and returns 28.8mpg, placing it in the 27% 2016/17 BIK bracket, and a more powerful 400hp 3.0-litre V6 which emits 206g/km of CO2 and returns 26.4mpg, which puts it in the highest 37% BIK bracket.

A spokesman for the brand told BusinessCar that there are no plans to introduce a diesel variant to the range in the future.

An SE-spec 190hp 2.0-litre petrol A5 costs from £32,230, while the 184hp BMW 420i is priced from £30,260.

The firm is promising growth in small and large fleets in 2016 thanks to a wider product line-up and new sales strategies.

"When you look outside and see our forecourt of today you can see a depth of products: Q30, QX30, Q50, Q60, QX70," former Infiniti UK boss, Carl Baylis told BusinessCar ahead of being replaced by former Nissan fleet boss Barry Beeston in May.

"With that depth comes more customers - whether they're looking for a C-segment [lower medium] hatch or a C-segment SUV, there is something in there now that they can have, which we haven't had historically. And I think that will then develop into our fleet strategy, where we've been down some very traditional fleet channels and stayed quite rigid to those," he continued.

"Now we can expand into either end of the spectrum. That could be daily rental through to brokers. We've got that opportunity now, particularly with some of the powertrains such as the 1.5 diesel. Petrol is not so appealing to a fleet or company car scheme, but there's a tremendous opportunity there for us. So, in a nutshell our fleet strategy is diversification."
