The RAC has launched a new smartphone app, which provides business drivers with a similar level of information to fleet managers on driver behaviour data, journey history details, vehicle health information and engine fault warnings.
The free Apple app is available to download now (with Android and Microsoft versions likely to be added at a later date), and will allow drivers to track the condition of their car and log detailed journey history information to help them submit expenses. It will also provide personal driver scores based on speed, braking and acceleration patterns, with tips for improvement.
RAC Telematics managing director Nick Walker said the app "will help [drivers] take full advantage of the telematics technology by using features such as driver score and mileage reports and help them identify when individual components are not working properly."
