Red Driving school to switch fleet to Minis

Red Driving School has announced a new partnership with Mini, which will see the majority of the driving school's fleet being switched to the Cooper D five-door hatch model.

The firm said it will adding around 350 vehicles to its fleet before Christmas.

Mini will supply the vehicles in two colours - Midnight Black and White Silver - with Blazing Red paintwork set to be introduced further down the line. The vehicles will also be supplied with Red's logo.

The school's new fleet will also come with the Chili Pack which includes LED headlights, rain sensors, automatic headlights and sports seats.

"This is a very exciting move for Red. Mini is a premium brand with low emissions and fuel consumption which makes it a very desirable tuition vehicle and I am certain our pupils will thoroughly enjoy learning in these cars," said Ian McIntosh, CEO of Red Driving School. "We feel Mini is a perfect pairing for Red and believe the cars will bring greatly enhance the learning experience for our customers."

Red currently employs around 1200 instructors and its fleet is currently mainly made up of Vauxhall and Renault models.
