Revised Seat Leon revealed

Seat has unveiled a facelifted version of its Leon lower medium model ahead of it hitting UK roads in early 2017.
The Leon - available in the three existing bodystyles of five-door, three-door and estate - is powered by a range of engines, with the diesel powertrains varying from a 90hp to 184hp. The 115hp 1.6-litre variant is a new addition to the line-up.
In terms of petrol power, the Leon's options range from 110hp to 180hp, with a new 115hp 1.0-litre unit being the latest addition.
Expect efficiency information to be released closer to the model's on-sale date.
Five trim levels will be offered in the UK - S, SE Dynamic, SE Technology, FR and the new Xcellence option, which features chrome detailing on the outside of the car and LED indicators, while inside includes Alcantara and leather upholstery.
According to Seat, the front and rear of the car is sharper than the outgoing model, while inside the Leon features a redesigned eight-inch touchscreen.
The Leon is equipped with a number of new driver assistance systems from the larger Ateca crossover, including traffic jam assist, which enables the car to automatically accelerate and brake up to 37mph while keeping the car in the correct lane.
Other new features include traffic sign recognition, blind-spot detection, and a parking assist function, while the car can also charge smartphones wirelessly.
"With the new Seat Leon we want to continue the success story of one of Seat's most emblematic models, including further technologies in terms of driving assistance systems, safety systems and, of course, connectivity," said Matthias Rabe, vice-president for research and development.
