Seat has confirmed its Ateca crossover will be priced from £17,990 when it arrives in September.
The Spanish car maker claimed the Ateca's pricing undercuts rivals, including the Nissan Qasqhai by more than £500, and the Ford Kuga by around £2000.
The entry-level S trim level includes air conditioning, a media system with five-inch touchscreen, split-folding rear seats, LED daytime running lights and 16-inch alloy wheels.
SE, meanwhile, includes dual-zone climate control, cruise control, rear parking sensors, Seat's Full Link smartphone connectivity system, an eight-inch media system and 17-inch wheels.
Xcellence - the flagship trim level - features wireless charging, the firm's Driving Experience selector - which allows drivers to alter the vehicle's set-up depending on conditions - as well as black leather upholstery and an updated sat-nav.
A number of safety aids and systems come as standard on every Ateca, including new Front Assist with City Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Protection, plus Tiredness Recognition. Also featuring across the range are traction control, electronic stability control, electronic differential lock, seven airbags, Hill Hold Control, and tyre pressure monitors.
