TOM supplies 47 Maxi-Low vans to delivery firm

Date: 15 April 2016   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Home delivery company Breezemount has taken on 47 Maxi-Low MaxiQube panel vans in a new fleet deal with TOM Vehicle Rental.

The Vauxhall Movano-based panel vans offers a payload of up to 1600kg. Breezemount said the Maxi-Low's increased capacity over the delivery firm's previous fleet of normal panel vans would reduce the overall vehicle mileage of the fleet.

The contract hire offering from TOM also includes repairs, servicing, maintenance, tyre replacement and replacement vehicles in order to maintain delivery cycles.

The vehicles are also fitted with dashcams in order to develop and improve driver standards.

"We are always looking at creative solutions within the industry to help manage and reduce our operating and whole life costs.  The new MaxiQube vehicles constructed from lightweight materials offer greater volume and payload than our previous 3.5t van fleet and these efficiencies support Breezemount UK's strategy to lower CO2 emissions and reduce our carbon footprint," Graham Brooks, head of fleet at Breezemount UK said.

"TOM were commercially aware and worked consultatively with us from the outset to make sure the specification of the vehicles met all of our specific needs," he added.
