Vauxhall develops 'premium' SMR package for fleets

Vauxhall has developed a premium SMR package for car and van fleets.
Known as SMR+, the package covers routine servicing and additional items such as brake fluid changes, maintenance work and mechanical warranty work.
Fleet managers are also contacted to remind them of any upcoming services, while managers have the option of paying for the package every month, which the firm claims will help manage costs.
"This package has been designed to give fleet managers everything they need for aftersales in one place, making it quicker and easier for them to manage a fleet than ever before," said Paul Painter, Vauxhall's fleet programmes and strategic channel manager. "Instead of needing to take out various aftersales packages, then adding items to cover all areas, SMR+ provides everything our fleet customers need."
Prices for the service vary across the range, but a Vauxhall spokesman told BusinessCar that a three-year/50k mile package starts from £932 for the Viva and a four-year/80k mile package is priced from £1870 for the Insignia.
