Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has secured a deal to supply Saga Holidays, Saga Cruises and Titan Travel with 54 Caravelles, as part of ongoing plans to update the companies' fleet of people carriers in 2016.
The new models join the companies' fleet of door-to-door vehicles, which help to provide a 'VIP Home Departure Service' that runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The joint Saga and Titan service uses a fleet of more than 150 Volkswagen vehicles, which cover more than 8.6 million miles per year, completing more than 80,000 journeys annually.
The Caravelles are kitted out with black leather seating for up to six passengers, offer room for holiday luggage and are fitted with adaptive cruise control to ensure safe motorway journeys.
Commenting on the deal, Andy Creba, head of transport for Saga Travel and Titan, said: "We offer award-winning premium holiday packages to our customers and therefore demand high quality standards from all of our supplier partners. The Volkswagen Caravelle not only delivers on this but also provides excellent reliability and outstanding residual values."
