Alphabet appoints Ewen to lead new business sales

Date: 22 November 2017

Alphabet has appointed Jo Ewen to the newly-created role of general manager for new business direct sales.

Ewen joins Alphabet having previously worked for the RAC, Europcar, FMG, TR Fleet and most recently LeasePlan UK, and brings a broad understanding of all aspects of funding, fleet management and mobility services.

Responsible for a 17-strong team based in Farnborough and around the UK, Ewen will report directly to chief commercial officer Simon Carr.

Carr commented: "Jo joins the Alphabet team at an important time and in a newly-created position following the recent reorganisation of our commercial operations. Jo will play an instrumental role in driving forward our commercial and new business sales activities into 2018 and beyond. Speaking on behalf of the UK executive team we are delighted to have secured someone of Jo's calibre, talents and experience for this important role."

Ewen added: "I am absolutely delighted to join the Alphabet team at such an exciting time for the business, where the focus on the customer and our service delivery is a priority for every person in the business. We have a hugely talented team in Farnborough and all around the UK, with a proven track record of success.

"With our promise to keep the customer at our heart as well as a fresh approach to innovative, real-world mobility, I am looking forward to helping shape our new business approach and creating an exciting future for Alphabet, our customers and our prospective customers."
