Citroen C3 Aircross priced from £13,995

Date: 02 August 2017   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Citroen has placed its C3 Aircross crossover on sale now, with prices starting from £13,995.

First deliveries are due in November and three trim levels - Touch, Feel and Flair - will be offered.

Customers can choose from a number of engines, with the entry-level model powered by a three-cylinder 82hp petrol engine emitting 116g/km of CO2 - placing it in the 22% 2017/18 benefit-in-kind (BIK) band. The most frugal model - a 100hp diesel emitting 104g/km of CO2 - is priced from £17,220 and also sits in the 22% 2017/18 BIK band.

The C3 Aircross replaces the C3 Picasso, swapping an MPV body style for a small SUV look.

'Feel' models cost from £15,100, while top-of-the-range 'Flair' models are priced from £16,900.

The C3 Aircross will be going up against the likes of the Nissan Juke, with the base C3 Aircross costing £885 less than its Japanese arch-rival.

Citroen claims that 85 personalisation combinations are available, with standard kit including wireless smartphone charging - a first for the French manufacturer - and grip control with hill descent assist.

Inside, the C3 Aircross features a voice-controlled navigation system and a reserving camera. Citroen claims the car offers best-in-class comfort levels, with boot space rated at 410 litres - compared with the Juke's figure of 354 litres. This can be upped to 520 litres with a sliding rear bench option available on the top-spec Flair trim level.

Driver assistance and safety kit, meanwhile, includes a colour head-up display, speed sign recognition tool, active safety braking, parking sensors, a blind spot monitoring system, lane departure warning and an autonomous emergency braking tool.

A full breakdown of equipment levels for each trim option is not yet available, with further information likely to emerge closer to November, when the first deliveries commence.
