Iker Lazzari appointed as new Nissan fleet boss

Date: 06 June 2017   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Nissan has appointed Iker Lazzari to the newly-created role of fleet sales director.

Lazzari joins the Japanese manufacturer from Volkswagen, where he served as head of sales and marketing for its Financial Services division, with responsibility for fleet marketing and leading the corporate financial services team.

At Nissan, Lazzari - who has 18 years' automotive experience - will be responsible for leading the company's fleet operations and will report to Darren Payne, sales director for the brand.

"I'm delighted to be joining Nissan at such an exciting time for the brand in the UK," Lazzari said. "With a great range of petrol and diesel models across all sectors, plus an early lead in electric vehicles, Nissan is perfectly placed to embrace the changes that are taking place across the automotive sector, and the fleet market in particular."

Payne added: "He [Lazzari] will play a key role in driving our sales performance into new markets and build on our core fleet sales strength. His background and experience will help us drive performance with the product portfolio we currently have, and help us to maximise opportunities with exciting new products like the new Qashqai and X-Trail that we will be launching in the coming months."
