Mitsubishi expands sales team

Mitsubishi has expanded its corporate team with the appointment of a new area manager.

Brett Dawson joins the Japanese brand as its new area manager for the north-west, with his role seeing him assist 14 dealerships in their sales and marketing activities, while also being the showrooms' first point of contact with Mitsubishi.

Dawson joins from rival Japanese brand Subaru, where he was the dealer relationship manager for three years. Prior to that, he was the dealer principal at a multi-franchise operation in North Yorkshire for 26 years.

Clive Messenger, head of corporate sales and field operations at Mitsubishi, said: "We want to provide our dealers with the best support possible and with Brett's vast experience and hands-on knowledge of operating a busy dealership, we are positive that he will be able to help them achieve even greater success. Brett joins us at a very exciting time and we are delighted to welcome him to the team."

Dawson said: "While the automotive industry has developed over the years, the nature of the trade has remained the same with the dealer model still essentially unchanged and vitally important. I'm really looking forward to using my experience to help our dealers achieve even better results and add to the strong growth of Mitsubishi Motors in the UK."
